Live Edge Wood & Epoxy Furniture, Home Decor, and Functional Art

At Haig Designs, we build furniture that anchors a room. Based in Vancouver and inspired by the rugged textures of the Pacific Northwest, we specialize in high-end commissions that bridge the gap between raw materials and refined design. We work with locally and sustainably sourced live edge wood, architectural-grade epoxy, and preserved botanicals to create durable, one-of-a-kind centerpieces. Whether it is a deep-pour oceanscape, a floral-infused resin table, or a massive burlwood desk, every piece is a deliberate investment in quality. We don't believe in "standard" furniture because no two environments share the same light, layout, or character.

Our studio is focused on creating intentional, high-performance furniture for homes, professional offices, and commercial spaces like restaurants and boardrooms. We prioritize a collaborative process, ensuring that the final dimensions, wood species, and resin pigments are tailored specifically to the space they will inhabit. These aren't just tables; they are hand-polished, heirloom-quality installations built to withstand daily use while defining the aesthetic of your interior. From our curated pre-order collections to fully original custom builds, we provide a direct connection between the client and the craftsman to bring your specific vision to life.

Working With Haig Designs - Our Process

The First Conversation

Every detail begins with dialogue. We’ll explore your inspiration, the type of design you’re envisioning, and the dimensions, colors, and wood species that feel right to you. Because every variable matters, this stage is about uncovering the possibilities and shaping the foundation of your custom piece.

The table has a white surface and is situated in an office or conference room with wooden flooring. There are office supplies including a calculator, pen holder, ruler, and tissue box on the table and nearby.

Shaping the Concept

Once the details are clear, the project truly begins. Together, we’ll review wood species, design inspirations, and conceptual sketches, refining ideas until the vision feels complete. Collaboration ensures that the final concept reflects not only your needs, but also the unique story behind the piece.

Craft in Motion

With the details finalized, we’ll source wood options and create layouts to help you envision your finished design. This transparency allows you to see how every element comes together, ensuring that you know — and love — the direction of your final piece before the first cut is made.

“Can’t recommend Scott enough for his beautiful/unique work! From start to finish, working with him was incredible. He took the time to listen to every detail we had in mind for our custom coffee table and managed to bring it all to life better than we imagined. The craftsmanship is flawless, the attention to details is immaculate and the piece not only elevates our space but is also highly functional. Super impressed with the whole experience, thank you Scott for being so awesome!”

“100% recommend! We found Scott on Bark to create a custom solid-wood coffee table after realizing everything in our price range elsewhere wasn’t truly solid wood or just didn’t fit what we wanted. His communication was excellent throughout the entire process—quick responses at any time of day (IYKYK, small business owners), and incredibly fast turnaround overall. From our first conversation to concept, wood sourcing, design, and the final build, everything was completed in under three weeks.
Scott was meticulous about making sure our piece was perfect before it left his studio, and the level of care and craftsmanship truly showed. He operates with genuine integrity, and we’re already planning our next Haig Design project.”

The great thing about epoxy is that virtually anything can be cast within it. You can even send us your wedding bouquet, cherished keepsake items, or anything else you’d like incorporated into a design.
