Creating Functional Art Since 2018
Haig Designs was born from a lifelong passion for creativity, craftsmanship, and the natural world. Its founder, Scott Haig, has been an artist in one form or another for as long as he can remember, from playing drums in bands of every genre to shaping raw materials into functional works of art.
Inspired by the rhythm of the ocean, the texture of the forests, and the character of reclaimed materials, Haig Designs began as an exploration of epoxy and live edge wood. That exploration soon evolved into a signature style: furniture and art that blend natural form with modern imagination.
Scott Haig is the creative force behind each handcrafted piece in the Haig Designs collection. With a deep respect for the natural world and an eye for the unexpected, he transforms raw, live-edge wood, preserved florals, and vibrant epoxy into functional works of art. His process is rooted in patience, precision, and a passion for storytelling through material. Every board, table, and design is made by hand in his workshop, each one a reflection of his belief that the things we live with should be both beautiful and built to last.
Over time, Scott developed a particular admiration for burl wood, a material known for its intricate grain and untamed edges, reflecting nature’s artistry in its purest form. As his craft evolved, so did his vision. Haig Designs grew from custom river tables to striking 3D oceanscapes that seem to breathe with the tide, and most recently, to preserved floral creations that merge organic beauty with contemporary design. Unlike many makers who specialize in a single medium, Haig Designs embraces versatility. From bespoke furniture to functional home décor and one-of-a-kind resin art, every project reflects a deep respect for craftsmanship, sustainability, and artistic integrity.
