Absolutely. Nearly every detail can be tailored to suit your vision, including the size, shape, wood species, resin colour, floral arrangement, finish and overall design.

You can come to us with a fully formed concept, a few reference images or simply an idea of how you want the finished piece to feel.

We’ll help you explore the possibilities and develop a design that works for both your style and your space.

We create custom furniture, home décor and functional art using live-edge wood, epoxy resin, preserved flowers and other natural materials.

Custom projects can include dining and coffee tables, desks, conference tables, charcuterie boards, wall art, clocks, game boards, sculptural pieces and completely original designs. If you have something different in mind, reach out. Some of our most interesting projects begin with ideas that don’t fit neatly into a category.

Every project begins with a conversation.

We’ll start by learning about your idea, where the piece will be used, your preferred dimensions and any colours, materials or inspiration you would like us to consider.

From there, we’ll develop the design, review material and layout options with you and provide a personalized quote and estimated timeline. Depending on the project, we may use sketches or digital visualizations to help you picture the finished piece before production begins.

Once the design is approved, we’ll confirm the deposit required and reserve your project in our production schedule. You’ll receive updates as your piece moves from raw materials to finished work.

Timelines vary depending on the size, complexity, materials and current studio schedule.

Smaller pieces, such as custom serving boards, can often be completed within a few weeks. Furniture, preserved floral designs and larger installations generally require more time for design, material sourcing, production, curing and finishing.

We’ll provide an estimated timeline with your quote and let you know about any important milestones along the way. Rush projects may be possible depending on the scope and studio availability.

Yes. Wedding flowers, memorial flowers and other meaningful natural elements can often be preserved within a custom resin design.

You may also contact us about incorporating small keepsakes or personal objects. Suitability will depend on the material, size and condition of the item, so we’ll review everything with you before confirming the design.

Because flowers and other organic materials naturally change during drying and preservation, some variation in colour, texture and shape should be expected. Every item will be handled with care, but its final appearance will depend partly on its condition when received.

Yes. Haig Designs creates functional art that is meant to be used and enjoyed, not simply displayed.

The materials and finish will be selected according to how the piece will be used. Serving pieces should be wiped clean rather than submerged and should be protected from excessive heat, harsh chemicals and sharp objects. Furniture should be cared for in the same way as other fine wood and resin pieces.

Specific care instructions will be provided for your finished piece.

Yes. We collaborate with homeowners, interior designers, developers, restaurants, offices and other commercial clients.

We can create individual statement pieces or develop custom furniture and installations for a larger space. Commercial projects are designed with the intended setting, daily use, dimensions and durability requirements in mind.

Local delivery and installation may be available for projects in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Shipping can also be arranged for clients outside the area.

Because every custom piece is different, delivery, installation and shipping requirements will be reviewed as part of your quote.

Because custom pieces are created specifically for you, personalized and made-to-order items cannot normally be returned or exchanged.

We’ll review the design details with you before production begins to make sure everyone is aligned. If your piece arrives damaged, please contact us immediately and provide photographs so we can assess the issue and determine the appropriate next steps.
